Pacífico-side resorts sit past downtown Cabo San Lucas, at the far end of the SJD-Cabo San Lucas corridor — only destinations off that corridor (Todos Santos, the East Cape, La Paz) are further from the airport. The route runs the full Tourist Corridor southwest, through Cabo San Lucas, then up the Pacific-facing coast to gated entrances at Quivira, Sunset Beach, Solmar, or Diamante. Expect 35-60 minutes depending on destination and traffic through Cabo San Lucas (which can slow significantly during cruise-ship arrivals).

Pacific-side transfers fall under the taxi sindicato's official "Zone 4+" rate — the highest zone-based tier at SJD, reflecting the longer drive through Cabo San Lucas and the gated cliffside access roads. Shared shuttles are a poor fit here: most Pacific-side resorts (Quivira, Diamante, Pueblo Bonito Pacifica) are gated communities that shared-shuttle operators are not authorized to enter, so a budget shuttle voucher can leave you stranded at the gate to arrange onward transport yourself.

Why a Pacifico transfer is different
The route to Pacifico passes through downtown Cabo San Lucas before climbing the coastal access roads. During peak season (Dec-Apr) and cruise ship arrival days, the marina-to-Pacific stretch can add 15-20 minutes to the trip. Our drivers know the alternate side streets that bypass the worst congestion. The cliffside access roads (especially to Sunset Beach, Solmar Land's End, and Pacifica) have several gated checkpoints — we have your reservation on file before you arrive.
Late-night and early morning arrivals
