About the tip: our drivers are paid a fair living wage by us — not from your tip. If our driver makes your arrival feel like a small gift, a tip is welcome. It's never expected and never charged at checkout.

We monitor your flight in real time and adjust for delays. Your driver is always at the right place at the right time.
$107 includes vehicle, driver, taxes, tolls, water, and child seats. The number you see is the number you pay. Tip is welcome but never expected.

Walk out through the main arrivals doors after baggage claim and customs. You'll see a series of numbered canopies / shaded areas ahead of you.
Continue walking straight ahead, crossing the street, and you'll arrive at **Shaded Area #3** — our official meet-up point.
Some airport directories will list this as 'Canopy 3' or 'Sombra 3' — same place. If you can't see it, ask any airport security host for 'Shaded Area 3' and they'll point.
One of our airport hosts will be waiting under the canopy. Long white sleeves with colorful Mexican embroidery, khaki pants, holding a board with **your name** and the Cabo Airport Transportation logo.
Our uniform is distinctive on purpose — nobody else at SJD wears it. You'll see your name before they see you.
The host greets you, takes a moment to confirm the booking, and radios your driver — who's already in the staging area and arrives at the curb in under two minutes. Your bags go in. Your trip begins. During the ride, ask anything you need. Recommendations, restaurant tips, local advice — your driver is at your service.

A small concierge note from us.
Inside the airport, before you reach our meet-up point, you may be approached by friendly people offering free tours, free taxis, or asking about your hotel. These are timeshare presentation salespeople — not airport staff. They've caused confusion for our guests in the past. The simplest move: keep walking past them. Our host is waiting outside at Shaded Area #3, no matter what anyone inside tells you.
You land
Customs and baggage are out of our hands — we estimate ~25-40 min after wheels-down before you reach arrivals. Our flight-tracker already knows.
You walk to Shaded Area #3
Our host has been waiting. Your name on the board. No scramble, no signs to misread.
Your driver arrives in under two minutes
Bags in the trunk, water in the door pocket, A/C cool. The host steps back. The road to your hotel begins.
You arrive at the suite
Doormen know us. They open the door for the bags. You walk into your stay with nothing left to manage.

Cabo Azul Resort, now operating as Cabo Azul, a Hilton Vacation Club, sits on the beach in the Fonatur area of San José del Cabo, about 13 km from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). A private transfer takes 18-22 minutes off-peak. One-way pricing starts at $84 USD for a private van — child seats, tolls, and flight tracking included.

Cabo Azul Resort sits at Paseo Malecón s/n, Lote 11, in the Fonatur area of San José del Cabo — a beachfront stretch just past the main Zona Hotelera strip (Hyatt Ziva, JW Marriott, Viceroy) and just before the gated Puerto Los Cabos community. The drive from SJD covers roughly 13 km along Highway 1 (Carretera Transpeninsular) plus a short turn onto the Malecón. Off-peak, expect an 18-22 minute ride. During peak afternoon arrivals (4:00-7:00 pm) — when most US/Canada flights land — traffic through San José del Cabo can stretch the ride to around 28 minutes. Our drivers track your flight in real time and plan the route around live traffic.

Cabo Azul is a family-oriented, all-suite resort with kitchens in most accommodations, so groups range from couples to multi-generational families sharing a villa. Three vehicle categories cover every party size. All-inclusive pricing — what you see at checkout is what you pay.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Best for | One-way price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Van | Up to 8 pax | Families, all-inclusive groups | $84 USD |
| VIP Suburban | Up to 6 pax | Couples, premium comfort | $84 USD |

| Taxi sindicato (San José del Cabo Zone 1) | $65-85 USD / vehicle | 18-25 min | Cash only at the arrivals kiosk, no flight tracking |
| Shared shuttle | $13-20 USD / person | 60-90 min | 15-60 min fill wait + other hotel stops before yours |
| Rental car | $50-90 USD / day + insurance | 18-25 min | You drive after a long flight |
Shared shuttles undercut a private transfer on a per-person basis if you are traveling solo or as a pair, but the ride itself takes longer — up to 90 minutes once you factor in the fill wait and other hotel stops, versus 18-28 minutes direct to Cabo Azul Resort. Shared shuttles also do not carry child seats, so families booking the resort's kids' club typically book private. See our full private-vs-shared-shuttle breakdown for the per-passenger math.
From SJD, the route follows Highway 1 south through San José del Cabo before turning onto Paseo Malecón for the final stretch to the resort. Our driver pulls into the Cabo Azul lobby drop-off directly — no walking from a parking lot with bags. Resort bellmen meet the vehicle, take the luggage, and the front desk handles check-in from there.
Cabo Azul Resort now operates as Cabo Azul, a Hilton Vacation Club, following Hilton Grand Vacations' 2021-22 acquisition of Diamond Resorts — travelers still commonly search and book under the original "Cabo Azul Resort" name, and both refer to the same beachfront property. The resort offers 326 rooms across four categories — Junior Suites (555 sq ft), One-Bedroom Villas (1,202 sq ft), Two-Bedroom Villas (1,535 sq ft), and Three-Bedroom Penthouses (2,638 sq ft) — with villas and penthouses including full kitchens, per the property's official listing. Dining is anchored by Javier's Restaurant and Bar, a farm-to-table Mexican restaurant that grows its own herbs in an on-site kitchen garden, plus Flor de Noche, a poolside restaurant and swim-up bar. Three pools front the property: a tri-level, oceanview infinity pool with a swim-up bar, a family pool with a waterslide, and an adults-only pool with a hot tub. The PAZ Mind & Body Spa runs indoor and outdoor treatment rooms plus beach massage service, and a supervised kids' club keeps younger guests busy with games, crafts, and toys. Additional amenities include a fitness center, a 16-seat on-site movie theater, an open-air wedding chapel, a business center, and an on-site market with a Starbucks. Independent reviews note the beach itself carries strong currents and is not recommended for swimming — guests use the resort pools instead, a detail worth knowing if you are traveling with kids.
Cabo Azul shares its $84 entry-level pricing tier with several other San José del Cabo resorts — Hyatt Ziva, JW Marriott Los Cabos, Royal Solaris, and Viceroy Los Cabos — because all of them sit within the same short stretch of Highway 1 near the airport. Cabo Azul itself is a few minutes further out, in the Fonatur area past the main Zona Hotelera strip and just before the gated Puerto Los Cabos community, which is why its drive time (18-22 minutes) runs slightly longer than Hyatt Ziva's (15-18 minutes) despite the identical fare. If your confirmation email lists a different San José del Cabo resort, double-check the exact property name before booking — several hotels sit close together along this corridor with slightly different drop-off logistics.
Your transfer is ready whenever you are. Book in under 2 minutes — no account needed.
