How you'll find us at the airport.

Exit the arrivals terminal

Walk out through the main arrivals doors after baggage claim and customs. You'll see a series of numbered canopies / shaded areas ahead of you.

Walk straight to Shaded Area #3

Continue walking straight ahead, crossing the street, and you'll arrive at **Shaded Area #3** — our official meet-up point.

Some airport directories will list this as 'Canopy 3' or 'Sombra 3' — same place. If you can't see it, ask any airport security host for 'Shaded Area 3' and they'll point.

Look for the white-shirt embroidered uniform

One of our airport hosts will be waiting under the canopy. Long white sleeves with colorful Mexican embroidery, khaki pants, holding a board with **your name** and the Cabo Airport Transportation logo.

Our uniform is distinctive on purpose — nobody else at SJD wears it. You'll see your name before they see you.

They'll call your vehicle

The host greets you, takes a moment to confirm the booking, and radios your driver — who's already in the staging area and arrives at the curb in under two minutes. Your bags go in. Your trip begins. During the ride, ask anything you need. Recommendations, restaurant tips, local advice — your driver is at your service.

Your driver's uniform

Embroidered shirt + khaki pants — distinctive on purpose.

A small concierge note from us.

Inside the airport, before you reach our meet-up point, you may be approached by friendly people offering free tours, free taxis, or asking about your hotel. These are timeshare presentation salespeople — not airport staff. They've caused confusion for our guests in the past. The simplest move: keep walking past them. Our host is waiting outside at Shaded Area #3, no matter what anyone inside tells you.

From baggage claim to your suite.

You land

Customs and baggage are out of our hands — we estimate ~25-40 min after wheels-down before you reach arrivals. Our flight-tracker already knows.

You walk to Shaded Area #3

Our host has been waiting. Your name on the board. No scramble, no signs to misread.

Your driver arrives in under two minutes

Bags in the trunk, water in the door pocket, A/C cool. The host steps back. The road to your hotel begins.

You arrive at the suite

Doormen know us. They open the door for the bags. You walk into your stay with nothing left to manage.

Written by the Cabos Airport Transportation operations team — we drive these routes every day.

Las Ventanas al Paraíso, a Rosewood Resort, sits on the Tourist Corridor about 24 km from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), and is one of six properties on the Costa Palmilla transfer rate. A private transfer takes 20-25 minutes off-peak, or up to 35 minutes during peak afternoon arrivals. One-way pricing starts at $95 USD for a private van — child seats, tolls, and flight tracking included.

How long is the transfer from SJD to Las Ventanas al Paraíso?

Las Ventanas al Paraíso sits at Km 19.5, Carretera Transpeninsular, on the Tourist Corridor, and is one of six properties on the Costa Palmilla transfer rate. At about 24 km from SJD it is one of the closer ones to the airport, in the same 20-25 minute band as One&Only Palmilla. Off-peak, expect a 20-25 minute ride along Highway 1. During peak afternoon arrivals (4:00-7:00 pm) — when most US/Canada flights land — traffic through the corridor can stretch the ride to around 35 minutes. Your driver tracks your flight in real time and adjusts pickup timing around it.

What is included in the transfer to Las Ventanas al Paraíso?

  • Private vehicle — no shared stops, no waiting for other travelers.
  • English-speaking driver in white-shirt embroidered uniform.
  • Flight tracking — your driver adjusts the pickup time if you are delayed.
  • Bottled water and child seats on request for families (note it in the booking).
  • Tolls, taxes, and a meet-and-greet at Shaded Area #3 outside SJD arrivals.
  • Direct drop-off at the Las Ventanas al Paraíso porte-cochère.

Which vehicle is the right fit for Las Ventanas al Paraíso?

Las Ventanas al Paraíso is an adults-oriented ultra-luxury resort built around junior suites, villas, and signature residences, so most guests travel as couples or small groups rather than large families. Three vehicle categories cover every arrival. All-inclusive pricing — what you see at checkout is what you pay.

Private transfer vs. taxi vs. shared shuttle to Las Ventanas al Paraíso

Private transfer (us)$95 USD / vehicle20-35 min directA/C, water, child seats on request, direct drop-off
Taxi sindicato (Costa Palmilla Zone 3 rate)$75-95 USD / vehicle20-30 minCash only at the arrivals kiosk, no flight tracking
Shared shuttle (third-party operators, e.g. Cabo Shuttle, Discount Cabo)$20-30 USD / person70-95 min15-60 min fill wait + 2-4 hotel stops before yours
Rental car$50-90 USD / day + insurance20-30 minYou drive after a long flight

A shared shuttle from a third-party operator can look cheaper per person, but it is not a service we run ourselves — we only offer private vehicles. Third-party shuttles typically make several stops at other resorts before reaching Costa Palmilla, which can turn a 20-25 minute direct drive into over an hour with a full van. An airport taxi lands close to our $95 flat rate on a good day, but the fare is not fixed in advance, it is cash-only, and there is no flight-delay coverage if your arrival slips.

Arrival at Las Ventanas al Paraíso — what to expect

From SJD, the route follows Highway 1 south along the Tourist Corridor before turning off at the resort entrance at Km 19.5. Your driver has your name and vehicle details on file before you land, holding a board with our logo and your name at Shaded Area #3. From the resort porte-cochère, the resort's own staff take over for check-in — Las Ventanas is known for a highly attentive arrival experience, including 24-hour butler service for every accommodation and, per the property's own materials, a dedicated staff member arranging special in-room and beachfront moments for guests during their stay.

Las Ventanas al Paraíso — what you are arriving to

Las Ventanas al Paraíso is a Rosewood Hotel Group property on the Tourist Corridor at Km 19.5, rated Five-Star by Forbes Travel Guide. Accommodations range from junior suites to villas (3,900-7,800 sq ft) and signature residences (5,200-9,200 sq ft), up to the 28,000-square-foot Ty Warner Mansion, per the resort's official site — every category includes 24-hour butler service, hand-carved Mexican furniture, limestone floors, and adobe fireplaces. Dining spans six venues: Arbol (elevated coastal cuisine with Asian influences), Alebrije, Sea Grill (beachfront tapas and grilled fare), the Tequila and Ceviche Bar, La Cava, and La Botica. The property describes its pool offering as "eight unique escapes," from beachfront infinity pools to a lazy river and swim-up bars, and The Spa runs a Four Elements treatment menu in open-air palapas using local ingredients. Las Ventanas leans adults-oriented ultra-luxury rather than family all-inclusive — a useful distinction from some of the larger resort-style properties elsewhere on the corridor — though the resort is pet-friendly and offers 24-hour room service and a gym for every guest.

Las Ventanas al Paraíso vs. other properties on the Costa Palmilla rate

Las Ventanas al Paraíso is one of six properties on our $95 Costa Palmilla transfer rate, alongside One&Only Palmilla, Chileno Bay, Montage, Grand Velas, and Four Seasons Cabo Del Sol. At 24 km from SJD, it is one of the closer ones to the airport, on par with One&Only Palmilla and noticeably shorter than Four Seasons Cabo Del Sol, which is on the same $95 rate but sits 38 km out at the Cabo San Lucas end of the corridor — the rate name is not a proxy for drive time. If your confirmation email lists a different Costa Palmilla or Tourist Corridor address, double-check the exact resort name before booking; several properties sit close together along Km 19-27 with slightly different drop-off logistics.
