How you'll find us at the airport.

Exit the arrivals terminal

Walk out through the main arrivals doors after baggage claim and customs. You'll see a series of numbered canopies / shaded areas ahead of you.

Walk straight to Shaded Area #3

Continue walking straight ahead, crossing the street, and you'll arrive at **Shaded Area #3** — our official meet-up point.

Some airport directories will list this as 'Canopy 3' or 'Sombra 3' — same place. If you can't see it, ask any airport security host for 'Shaded Area 3' and they'll point.

Look for the white-shirt embroidered uniform

One of our airport hosts will be waiting under the canopy. Long white sleeves with colorful Mexican embroidery, khaki pants, holding a board with **your name** and the Cabo Airport Transportation logo.

Our uniform is distinctive on purpose — nobody else at SJD wears it. You'll see your name before they see you.

They'll call your vehicle

The host greets you, takes a moment to confirm the booking, and radios your driver — who's already in the staging area and arrives at the curb in under two minutes. Your bags go in. Your trip begins. During the ride, ask anything you need. Recommendations, restaurant tips, local advice — your driver is at your service.

Your driver's uniform

Embroidered shirt + khaki pants — distinctive on purpose.

A small concierge note from us.

Inside the airport, before you reach our meet-up point, you may be approached by friendly people offering free tours, free taxis, or asking about your hotel. These are timeshare presentation salespeople — not airport staff. They've caused confusion for our guests in the past. The simplest move: keep walking past them. Our host is waiting outside at Shaded Area #3, no matter what anyone inside tells you.

From baggage claim to your suite.

You land

Customs and baggage are out of our hands — we estimate ~25-40 min after wheels-down before you reach arrivals. Our flight-tracker already knows.

You walk to Shaded Area #3

Our host has been waiting. Your name on the board. No scramble, no signs to misread.

Your driver arrives in under two minutes

Bags in the trunk, water in the door pocket, A/C cool. The host steps back. The road to your hotel begins.

You arrive at the suite

Doormen know us. They open the door for the bags. You walk into your stay with nothing left to manage.

About this transfer

Written by the Cabos Airport Transportation operations team — we drive these routes every day.

Quivira Los Cabos is a 1,850-acre gated resort community at Land's End, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez on the tip of the Baja Peninsula — home to Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, and the Jack Nicklaus-designed Quivira Golf Club. A private SJD transfer takes 35-45 minutes off-peak. One-way pricing starts at $123 USD, tolls and flight tracking included.

How long is the transfer from SJD to Quivira Los Cabos?

The drive from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) to Quivira Los Cabos covers roughly 48 km — the full Tourist Corridor southwest, through downtown Cabo San Lucas, then up the Pacific-facing coastal road to the gated Quivira entrance at Land's End. Outside of peak hours expect a 35-45 minute ride. During peak season (Dec-Apr) and on cruise-ship arrival days, traffic through downtown Cabo San Lucas can add 15-20 minutes, stretching the ride to 45-55 minutes. Our drivers know the alternate side streets that bypass the worst of that congestion, and track your flight in real time to plan the route around live traffic.

Private transfer vs. taxi vs. shared shuttle to Quivira Los Cabos

How a private transfer compares for SJD → Quivira Los Cabos
OptionApprox. costTime to resortComfort
Private transfer (us)$123 USD / vehicle35-45 min directA/C, water, child seats, cleared at the Quivira gate
Taxi sindicato (Zone 4+)$110-130 USD / vehicle35-60 minCash only at the arrivals kiosk, no flight tracking
Shared shuttleNot offeredN/ACannot enter the gated Quivira community
Rental car$50-90 USD / day + insurance35-45 minYou drive after a long flight; still needs gate clearance

Quivira Los Cabos is a gated master-planned community on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas, and shared-shuttle operators are not authorized through the gate. That rules out the budget shuttle option most travelers compare against on other Cabo zones: your realistic choices for any resort or residence inside Quivira are a private transfer (like ours), the taxi sindicato's Zone 4+ rate ($110-130), or a rental car. Our $123 rate sits within the sindicato's own range while adding flight tracking, child seats, and a driver who already knows the Quivira gate procedure — a rental car only pays off if you plan day trips beyond the community, and it does not adjust for a delayed flight.

Arrival at Quivira Los Cabos — what to expect

Quivira sits behind a guarded gate checkpoint on the cliffside access road at Land's End, and every resort and residence inside checks incoming vehicles against a reservation list. We have your details on file before you arrive, so the gate clears the vehicle without a hold-up. From there, your driver follows the specific route to your resort's drop-off circle or your residence's entrance — Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, and Quivira's private residential communities (Montecristo Estates, Old Lighthouse Golf and Ocean Club, Coronado, and others) each have their own internal roads and checkpoints, so tell us exactly where you are headed when you book.

Quivira Los Cabos — what you are arriving to

Quivira Los Cabos is a 1,850-acre master-planned community at Land's End, founded by resort developer Ernesto Coppel — the point of the Baja Peninsula where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, per the community's own site. Its centerpiece is the Jack Nicklaus-designed Quivira Golf Club, which debuted in 2014 along cliffside fairways above the ocean; a second Jack Nicklaus signature course broke ground in 2022. Golf access is reserved for Pueblo Bonito resort guests and Quivira property owners. Inside the gates, Quivira mixes resort hotels with residential enclaves — Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort (adults-only, all-inclusive, 201 rooms), Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort (family-friendly all-inclusive, with The Market at Quivira food hall), and the St. Regis Los Cabos at Quivira, a planned 120-room beachfront hotel with 60 residences still under construction — alongside residential communities including Montecristo Estates, Old Lighthouse Golf and Ocean Club, Coronado, Mavila, and Copala.

Which property inside Quivira are you staying at?

Quivira is a single gated community with several distinct resorts and residential enclaves inside it, and the brand name alone will not tell your driver which internal gate or drop-off to use. Pueblo Bonito Pacifica and Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach are the two established resort hotels — both share this $123/$130/$200 pricing tier and 35-45 minute drive, but sit at different points inside the community with separate entrances. If you are staying at a private villa or residence (Montecristo Estates, Old Lighthouse, Coronado, Mavila, Copala), give us the specific community name and unit or lot number so security can clear the vehicle. The St. Regis Los Cabos at Quivira is still under construction and not yet accepting guests as of this writing — if your confirmation names it, double-check the booking before you fly.
