Puerto Los Cabos is a master-planned community designed for residents and resort guests — not a public marina. The Nicklaus/Norman composite course, the artisan walkway, and the protected marina mean the area feels more residential than typical tourist zones. It is also the closest of the upscale "east" zones to San José del Cabo town, which means dinner and shopping options are 5-10 minutes away.

Shared shuttles are the cheapest way into most Cabos zones on a per-person basis, but they do not have standing arrangements with any gated community in Los Cabos, Puerto Los Cabos included — the shuttle company cannot clear your name at the guard gate, so it is not actually an option for a Secrets, Zadun, or El Ganzo reservation.

That gate restriction is the real differentiator for this zone, more than price: whoever drives you in has to be on the guest list, so a shared shuttle — the usual cheapest option elsewhere in Los Cabos — simply is not sold for Puerto Los Cabos addresses.
