About the tip: our drivers are paid a fair living wage by us — not from your tip. If our driver makes your arrival feel like a small gift, a tip is welcome. It's never expected and never charged at checkout.

We monitor your flight in real time and adjust for delays. Your driver is always at the right place at the right time.
$107 includes vehicle, driver, taxes, tolls, water, and child seats. The number you see is the number you pay. Tip is welcome but never expected.

Walk out through the main arrivals doors after baggage claim and customs. You'll see a series of numbered canopies / shaded areas ahead of you.
Continue walking straight ahead, crossing the street, and you'll arrive at **Shaded Area #3** — our official meet-up point.
Some airport directories will list this as 'Canopy 3' or 'Sombra 3' — same place. If you can't see it, ask any airport security host for 'Shaded Area 3' and they'll point.
One of our airport hosts will be waiting under the canopy. Long white sleeves with colorful Mexican embroidery, khaki pants, holding a board with **your name** and the Cabo Airport Transportation logo.
Our uniform is distinctive on purpose — nobody else at SJD wears it. You'll see your name before they see you.
The host greets you, takes a moment to confirm the booking, and radios your driver — who's already in the staging area and arrives at the curb in under two minutes. Your bags go in. Your trip begins. During the ride, ask anything you need. Recommendations, restaurant tips, local advice — your driver is at your service.

A small concierge note from us.
Inside the airport, before you reach our meet-up point, you may be approached by friendly people offering free tours, free taxis, or asking about your hotel. These are timeshare presentation salespeople — not airport staff. They've caused confusion for our guests in the past. The simplest move: keep walking past them. Our host is waiting outside at Shaded Area #3, no matter what anyone inside tells you.
You land
Customs and baggage are out of our hands — we estimate ~25-40 min after wheels-down before you reach arrivals. Our flight-tracker already knows.
You walk to Shaded Area #3
Our host has been waiting. Your name on the board. No scramble, no signs to misread.
Your driver arrives in under two minutes
Bags in the trunk, water in the door pocket, A/C cool. The host steps back. The road to your hotel begins.
You arrive at the suite
Doormen know us. They open the door for the bags. You walk into your stay with nothing left to manage.

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal sits in the gated hillside community of Pedregal, about 36 km southwest of Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). A private transfer takes 40-55 minutes. One-way pricing starts at $100 USD for a private van — child seats, tolls, and flight tracking included. No taxi line, no shuttle stops, no curb-side wait.

The drive from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) to Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal covers roughly 36 km along Highway 1 (Carretera Transpeninsular), then climbs into the Pedregal hillside above Cabo San Lucas. Outside of peak hours expect a 40-45 minute ride. During peak afternoon arrivals (12:00-4:00 pm) in high season (Dec-Apr) — and whenever a cruise ship is in port and downtown Cabo San Lucas traffic backs up — the ride can stretch to 50-55 minutes. Our drivers track your flight in real time and plan the route around live traffic.
| Metric | Value | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Distance | ~36 km / 22 mi | Via Highway 1, then the Pedregal hillside access road |

| Peak-hour time | 50-55 min | 12:00-4:00 pm arrivals or cruise-ship days, high season (Dec-Apr) |
| Zone | Pedregal | Gated hillside community above Cabo San Lucas |
| Starting price | $100 USD | Private van, up to 8 passengers |
Three vehicle categories cover every party size headed to the resort. All-inclusive pricing — what you see at checkout is what you pay.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Best for | One-way price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Van | Up to 8 pax | Couples, families, small groups | $100 USD |
| VIP Suburban | Up to 6 pax | Honeymoons, premium ride | $100 USD |
| Mercedes Sprinter | Up to 18 pax | Weddings, group celebrations | $169 USD |
| Option | Approx. cost | Time to resort | Comfort |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $100 USD / vehicle | 40-55 min direct | A/C, water, child seats, pre-cleared at the Pedregal gate |
| Taxi sindicato (Zone 4+) | $110-130 USD / vehicle | 40-55 min | Cash only at the arrivals kiosk, no flight tracking, gate clearance on your own |
| Shared shuttle | Not offered | N/A | Shuttle operators are not authorized through the Pedregal gate |
| Rental car | $50-90 USD / day + insurance | 40-55 min | You drive after a long flight, still need gate clearance |
Pedregal is a gated hillside community, the same access model as the Pacific-side resorts in Los Cabos — shared-shuttle operators are not on the community's authorized-vehicle list, so a budget shuttle voucher is not actually bookable for this address. That leaves a private transfer, the taxi sindicato's Zone 4+ rate, or a self-driven rental car. Our $100 rate sits at or below the sindicato's $110-130 range while adding flight tracking, child seats, and a driver already staged on the gate's cleared-vehicle list. A rental car only pays off if you plan day trips beyond the resort — for a straight airport-to-hotel run it rarely beats the transfer price once insurance is added, and it still needs to clear the same checkpoint.
From SJD, the route follows Highway 1 through the Tourist Corridor and downtown Cabo San Lucas before climbing into the Pedregal hills. Your driver has your name and vehicle details on file before you land, so the guard at the Pedregal checkpoint waves the vehicle through rather than calling ahead to confirm. From the gate, it is a short final climb to the Waldorf Astoria entrance, where resort valet and bell staff take over.
Hilton operates Waldorf Astoria hotels worldwide, and Los Cabos is the only one on the Baja California Sur peninsula. This page covers Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal specifically — the property inside the gated Pedregal community above Cabo San Lucas, served by Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). It is a different property from Waldorf Astoria resorts elsewhere in Mexico or the Caribbean, which are booked through a different regional transfer service entirely. Double-check your hotel confirmation email for "Los Cabos Pedregal" before booking.
